28 students and 2 faculty members from Ngee Ann, Singapore were a part of the Reverse Immersion programme conducted in NIT, Rourkela. The month long programme comprised of educational and cultural tour across India. The students hailing from IT background underwent most of the training at NIT, Rourkela. The training modules included subjects like IT Outsourcing Management wherein they studied the IT framework of NIT, Rourkela besides the concepts of outsourcing. Software engineering module outlined application of engineering to the design, development, and maintenance of software. The students had a very interactive session with Prof. S. Sarangi, Director, NIT, Rourkela.As a part of their cultural experience, the team enjoyed Indian festivals of Holi and specially arranged Diwali, visit to Amer fort, Jaipur and Taj Mahal, Agra, Sun Temple, Konark and beaches of Odisha. The faculty of institute took classes for the students to apprise them of Indian culture and practices. Many recreational activities balanced the rigorous training sessions. Swimming, Basketball and cricket match was organized by the student committee at NIT, Rourkela. Ngee Ann students also loved authentic Indian food and street markets.
