KAZIRANGA UNIVERSITY CONDUCTS ITS FIRST IMMERSION PROGRAMME AT NTU, SINGAPORE

Corporate Gurukul conducted its flagship Global Immersion Programme (GIP) for management students from Kaziranga University, Assam in association with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore from 17th February 2013 to 23rd February 2013. The objective was to help students train and learn with faculty members from one of the world’s best universities. The programme also aimed at providing the students exposure to a multi-cultural and diverse environment in Singapore.QS Rankings recognize NTU as top 47th university in the world. It’s also acclaimed as the 7th best university in Asia. “NTU is a world leader in the area of sustainability.” boasts Prof. Bertil Andersson, President, NTU.The training sessions conducted by eminent professors from NTU and Corporate Gurukul industry experts comprised modules on managerial, entrepreneurial and leadership skills.

“There are many different approaches to leadership that you can use” said a NTU professor further adding that emotional intelligence is very important to be a leader.

Another important focus was Singapore’s journey from “Third World to First”. The strategically important British naval base had a few resources of its own. Today, this Asian metropolis has not only the world’s number one airline, best airport, and busiest port of trade, but also the world’s fourth–highest per capita income.

In order to facilitate cultural exposure, the programme included visits to Sentosa, Marina Bay Sands, Universal Studios, Orchard road, etc. The students experienced the Night Safari, one of the most popular tourist attractions of Singapore. ​They also let their hair down for a dance party in Clarke Quay.
